Albums, packs, normal and special stickers. This is the stickers collection world, completing your album day after day with kids (and adults!) favourite adhesive labels: sport, cartoons, pop stars, movies.
Collectibility represents a sharing moment for all the family, looking for the favourite picture or the rarest one. The game of “celomimanca” (“haveitmissit”, the act of quickly scrolling through someone else’s sticker collection, looking for stickers you don’t own and want to trade for), trading with friends and schoolmates and trying to complete your collection as soon as possible.

Many businesses (especially large-scale retailers) have discovered the value of stickers albums as a promotion and retention tool for customers, as well as a “internal socialization and group identity” for employees, commercial networks, human resources in general.

ALBUMS

There are different ways to create an album. Every print format is highly customizable.

CLASSIC ALBUM

Similar to a book or a magazine containing empty boxes (not printed) where to attach self-adhesive labels commonly known as stickers (“figurine”).The standard format is A4 (21x29.7 cm), but they can be slightly bigger or smaller. Printing is in colour, while inner pages background can be in shades of grey.

We usually use 135 grams matt coated paper, but various types and weights are available. Cover is flexible but made with heavier paper (300 grams on average), usually it’s plastic coated but there are a lot of customization options.
Foliation varies from 4 to 80 pages, depending on this and the number of copies we’ll use digital or off-set print. Packing will be made in “stapling” (metallic staples), or “paperback” (glue with/without binding).

MINIALBUM

These are the smaller version of classic ones. Same choices of paper, print and packing, in smaller pocket-sized format.
The standard format is A5 or A6 (14.8x21 or 10.5x14.8 cm). Stickers will also be about half the size of normal ones.

We can add to these other products suitable for collection purpose, like hardcover albums (particularly suitable for photoalbums, or to simply make an album more durable), PVC binders (made for collecting cards).

POSTERS deserve a specific mention. Different in sizes, they’re also capable of being inserted into traditional albums. Posters are particularly suitable for holding die-cut prints, to create a complete overall picture.

They’re principally used as a marketing tool for companies, but they can also be a fun way to create the photograph of a sports team, school class, wedding…

STICKERS

CLASSIC STICKER

The CLASSIC STICKER is the “technological daughter” of the ones that kids in the ‘60s glued to Panini albums.
Size: 45x66 mm, 49x68 mm. Custom sizes are available on demand.
Color: stickers are usually in color on the front and black and white on the back.
Stickers are self-adhesive, so you just have to remove the posterior protection and attach them to the album. Repositionable stickers are also available.

MINISTICKERS are the smaller version of classic ones. They’re often grouped two by two or inserted in smaller packs.

LE PUZZLE-STICKERS

are the ones that can be detached by following the picture outline. Different types are available: die-cut, modeled stickers; metallic stickers, hologram stickers, flocked stickers, repositionable stickers, etc.

FIGURINE SPECIALI

Esistono poi tutta una serie di FIGURINE SPECIALI che sono arricchite di elementi che le rendono particolari, come le figurine sagomate/fustellate , sono quelle che possono essere staccate dalla figurina lungo il contorno dell’immagine, utilizzabili soprattutto nei poster e nelle pagine illustrate a completare l’immagine complessiva, le figurine metallizzate, le figurine olografiche. quelle flockate, quelle attacca-stacca, eccetera.

A print on the back of the sticker can also be applied not only to represent the progressive number in the collection, but also as a marketing tool.

PACKS

Packing is a fundamental phase to give a great finishing touch to the stickers collection. Shuffling is entirely managed by a dedicated software, while packaging can be realized with various methods.
Prototypical packs include 5 random stickers.

MONDINI PACKS (4-WELDINGS MACHINE)

Mondini was the inventor of the machine that’s used, which welds four times (once for each side), to ease the pack opening. These are destined for large-scale retails (at least 100 thousands packs). Packs are made of plastic coated paper and cold sealed. They can contain both standard and ministickers.

FLOWPACKS (3 WELDINGS)

They can be produced in small quantities and with different features. Less expensive packs are transparent, in which a reproduction of the album’s cover is inserted to hide the stickers underneath. Otherwise they can be colored or completely custom (like Mondinis). Custom flowpacks are available only for large quantity orders.

CASES

Stickers can also be packed in special cases (made with cardboard, metal or plastic) suitable for collecting an entire set of cards, be arranged in a counter display unit called “crowner”, in blisters or in “packs in pack” (up to 10 each).
